An absolute must-visit if you are in Valladolid! We saw a bunch of cenotes while exploring the Yucatán, and this one was definitely one of our favorites. It gets pretty hot and humid in the city, so finding this hidden gem right in the heart of town was the absolute perfect way to handle the afternoon heat. The cenote itself is stunning—half exposed and half underground, with gorgeous light shining down through the opening onto the surrounding lush vegetation. The water is deep and refreshing, and it was such a great experience to be able to jump off the rocks and cliffs into the water. We even spotted some cichlids and catfish swimming around while we were in there. Admission was very reasonable (roughly around eight bucks a person), the staff were friendly, and the whole environment is just breathtaking. We would definitely go back again in a heartbeat!

This is one of the best cenotes in the area. Literally 2 blocks from Valladolid main square. Have breakfast at the onsite restaurant Zaci with panoramic terrace on the cenotes. P.s. breakfast packages include fresh fruit, fruit juices, cinnamon coffee and pastries!

Cenote itself was beautiful! First time seeing one & the nature part was so great! We went around 3PM on a Monday until close & it was not super busy, a very relaxing time. Only cons were that per other reviews I expected lockers, but when we asked they said there wasn’t any. And the bathrooms were kinda nasty & had no toilet paper. Would still suggest this experience though just go prepared :)

A nice cenote for being in the middle of the city. Don't miss the others a few kilometres out, though, as they are nicer in my opinion. Plus the staff here are a bit moody and unhelpful.

A Majestic Rift in the Middle of the City Driving two hours from Playa del Carmen to find this was a revelation. Most cenotes feel like a trek into the wild, but Zací is carved directly into the urban grid of Valladolid like a secret. We returned for a second day just to sit with it again; when the crowds are thin, the scale of the cavern is breathtaking. There is a quiet intensity here. The way the light slices through the semi-open vault and reflects off the turquoise water is truly majestic. We had lunch at the restaurant on site which overlooked the water and it made the experience seamless since the entry fee was included with the meal. It isn't just a place for a quick dip; it’s a historical anchor where the ancient world still breathes through the stone. Whether you’re jumping from the ledges or just walking the carved perimeter under the stalactites, it’s a necessary stop for anyone looking for full resolution Yucatán beauty.
