We visited Cenote Suytun near Valladolid, Yucatán, and it was one of the most beautiful places we saw during our trip. This cenote is very photogenic and truly worth visiting. The cave, blue water, ancient stalactites, and the round platform in the middle create an amazing view. The walkway to the center platform makes it a perfect spot for pictures. The opening at the top of the cave lets natural light come through, and when the sunlight hits the water, the view becomes even more special. Depending on the weather and time of day, the light effect can make the cenote look magical. The water area looked calm and not too deep compared with some other cenotes. Many people were swimming, but even if you do not swim, this place is still beautiful to see and enjoy from the steps and viewing areas. Cenote Suytun is now a very popular stop for visitors going to Chichen Itza, Ek Balam, or Valladolid, so it can get busy. Still, it is worth the visit because the scenery is unique. A must visit location near Valladolid. Great for photos, nature, and a memorable cenote experience.

Cenote Suytun is simply one of a kind. Yes, it's fairly touristy — but that doesn't take away from its beauty for even a second. There are two gorgeous cenotes you can step into and experience to the fullest, with the water and the light beaming down from above. And after a refreshing dip, you can relax by the pool on site and enjoy a nice cold beer. A winning combination. Highly recommend. 🌿

Excellent cenote! I’ve visited many cenotes throughout the Riviera Maya, and for some reason, I always keep coming back to this one. The atmosphere is incredible because the cenote is located inside a huge cave with an amazingly high ceiling. The natural scenery is breathtaking. There is also a beautifully designed walkway where special events such as weddings and marriage proposals are often held. One of my favorite things about this cenote is simply how unique it looks. The photo opportunities are amazing, and honestly, that’s one of the reasons I always return. You can also see different species of fish swimming in the crystal-clear water. If this is your first time visiting a cenote, or if you want to experience one that feels a little different from the others, I highly recommend this place. A beautiful and memorable experience.

When we visited my brother and I wanted to experience the cenote scene in the Yucatán. It is a huge thing. But. We did not want to actually go swimming in them. It’s a personal choice thing. No big deal. So I cannot testify to that aspect of Cenote Suytun since we did not participate. We did pay to wander around the grounds (the same admission as everyone else, I feel there should be a discount if you aren’t swimming, but that’s just an opinion). The two cenotes here are both very picturesque and well kept. We also paid a very reasonable price for a buffet lunch. And the souvenir shop was a blessing. The prices were almost half of what they are in Valladolid and the staff does not pester you at all when you look. All and all if you are just curious about the cenote subculture, I would say pick Cenote Suytun for your experience, whether you swim or not, you will see what it is all about in a laidback environment.

Absolutely beautiful. What an amazing experience. So peaceful. Much cooler than other Cenotes because of the lack of light, but the ceiling looks like mars. I feel very blessed to have experienced it. If you go to the Cafe above, say hi to the cat for me. Sweetest girl ever.
