What an unforgettable trip! 🌊☀️ From the Pacific Ocean to the Sea of Cortez, and finally to the breathtaking Valley of the Giants... every stop offered an amazing view and a new memory. Nature at its best, spectacular landscapes, and definitely a place worth visiting. 🌵

Worth the trip but you have to enjoy nature and scenery. The vast number across the valley is amazing, very cool to walk through. We didn’t go further up the road as the sign says you need a 4x4 car. Lots of people out with their dogs enjoying the day. 200 pesos per car (as of 19 April 2026). They didn’t have change for a 500 bill so come with exact amount.

A side trip that is well worth it. The road in the park from the entrance to the parking lot can be a bit sketchy at times, but 2 wheel drive and take it slow and all is well. 200 pesos entrance fee per car and after reaching the parking lot, if you have 4x4, you can continue on to the rest of the loop drive. I choose to park and hike as the parking lot is in a perfect location that is surrounded by the giant cacti.

These cacti 🌵 are giants with some reaching over 30 feet tall. There is an entrance fee for $300 Pesos for regular vehicles, buses are more. Impressive giants and a definite must see. My wife and I had just gone to the states in Arizona at the Saguaro national park the day before and these cacti are more impressive than anything we saw in the national park.

There are many of the large cardón cactus along highway 5 and highway 1 but this location gives you a great opportunity to walk along a large collection of the cacti. The small entrance fee is well worth the experience.
