For international traveller. You will spend 200MXN in here per person for a 1/5 big gallery compare to the national anthropology museum in Mexico city(and the price is 95MXN pp).Plus limited access to the AC and very limited artefacts! As an Mayanist, the Mayan World mmuseum experience really make me feel Disappointed. But if you are local the price is nearly ten times cheaper! Only 25MXN, that price sounds more reasonable than 200MXN.

I visited today and, since the AC wasn’t working, entry was free! Despite that, I had a great experience. I recommend setting aside around 2 hours if you want to explore the museum properly. It’s a fascinating place to learn about Mayan history, culture, numbers, and the calendar. I especially loved the interactive screens and short videos, which made the visit even more engaging and enjoyable. Definitely recommend visiting.

I was here on a Saturday. I really enjoyed learning about the Mayan history. The interactive screens where you could read your horoscope or learn how to count in Mayan were also very fun! Most of the descriptions are also in English which was great. We actually didn’t have to pay for the entrance. We tried to buy a ticket and were told that today it’s for free - a nice surprise! One down side, and the reason why this review gets 4 stars is the fact that there was no AC so it really got hot at times and discouraged us to spend more time in this very interesting museum. Sadly also the viewing deck (to see the whole city) was also closed which is a pity. Tip: bring a bunch of water with you and a fan, especially if you come there on a hot summer day like us (it was 38 degrees outside).

This museum was one of the best parts of our whole vacation to Merida. It was a very informative space where we learned a lot about the indigenous mind culture, and how rooted their culture is to this very day in the Yucatán area. We were very moved by the special exhibits and really enjoyed the art exhibits as well. This is a modern building with air-conditioning state-of-the-art facilities for a very low cost. I highly recommend that everybody takes a stop here, especially for the hot days. This is a wonderful place to take a break and learn about the history and culture of this beautiful space I believe that the experience at this place is worth the very low ticket and is very easy to get to with a lot of free parking around.

Absolutely fascinating education on the Mayan culture and history! Extremely educational and the museum was laid out extremely well to follow the timeline of Mayan evolution. An absolute must see while in Merida! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
