We visited Isla Coronado (second time) in December and enjoyed the warm and clear water at Playa Isla Coronado. Beautiful white sand beach, no jellyfish in water like some of the other islands in the Parque. One can use a tour company in Loreto or just walk to port area and hire a boat on your own. Plan on about $100-200 for 2 people to go to island on the panga boats. Appears to be cheaper to hire directly at port if you are a seasoned traveler. Be sure boat has life vests and most of the captains will have an ice chest and give you a drink. If you plan your trip for the next day, the captains will bring some ceviche or burritos to eat on your trip. You must buy a Parque pass at the office at the entrance to the docks and they cost about $10/person. The boats are supposed to take you for 5 hours; 1 hour there and 1 hour back with 3 hours on the beach. There are palapas (shade structures) and benches on the beach and a bathroom, and nature trail with plant identification plaques.

Excellent place to visit what's not to like. A protected paradise of turquoise waters and white sand beaches.

We love the area around Loreto because of the pristine beaches and the abundant sealife that can be seen via ship, boat, zodiac or diving. The town itself is very laid back and peaceful.

Inaldecio, aka "el Jarocho" our panga skipper is fantastic. He showed us all the wonderful spots to snorkel and swim. He even helped us buy a freshly caught fish directly from the fishermen.

Raw beauty of sun, water and rock dominate. Under water colorful fish school around the rocky outcrops. On land there is a harsh beauty to life every plant survives by storing water and defending themselves with sharp spines or thorns. I love this place, memories provide peace in my mind as I commute daily with millions of others to be confined in cubicles.
