从梦想到落成
和平教堂的全名是“和平普世教堂”（Capilla Ecuménica de la Paz），最初是米莉·豪斯·德·特鲁耶特（Milly Hauss de Trouyet）的构想——她想在拉斯布里萨斯（Las Brisas）住宅区的最高处建一座精神地标。她没能亲眼看到教堂完工，丈夫卡洛斯·特鲁耶特（Carlos Trouyet）接手完成了建设，建筑师加布里埃尔·查韦斯·德·拉·莫拉（Gabriel Chávez de la Mora）主持设计，1971年正式落成。
42米十字架与兄弟之手
教堂旁边立着42米高的白色十字架，从阿卡普尔科湾的多数位置都能望见，是港口最醒目的地标之一。花园里还有一座青铜雕塑，叫“兄弟之手”（Las Manos de la Hermandad），双手合十伸向天空。1970年，特鲁耶特家的两个儿子豪尔赫和卡洛斯在一场空难中去世，十字架和雕塑都带着纪念的意味。教堂本身是普世性质的，不限定教派，任何信仰的人都可以进来坐一坐，或者单纯看风景。

教堂走的是简约现代路线，A字形结构，内部没有人造照明，全靠自然光从上方洒下来。空间不大，但那种安静很实在——海风从敞开的入口灌进来，外面是整片阿卡普尔科湾。教堂后面的花园露台是拍照的最佳位置，能俯瞰海湾的弧形海岸线和远处的山脉。不少人在这里拍家庭照或自拍，下午光线偏暖，早上人少、空气凉快，想避开旅行团就赶在10点开门时到。

除了教堂和十字架，整个院子值得慢慢走一圈。花园里有修剪整齐的绿植和几条侧边小径，人少的时候可以找到角落坐下来发呆。从露台望出去，阿卡普尔科湾的半月形轮廓一目了然，天气好时能一直看到太平洋方向。有一点要提醒：停车场就在路边，从停车位置走到教堂门口有一段大约80米的陡坡，穿舒服的鞋。

最佳时间与天气
阿卡普尔科全年温暖，气温在26°C到32°C之间，山上因为有海风，体感比市区舒服。旱季从11月到次年4月，天空最透亮，拍海湾全景的成功率最高。雨季（6月到10月）午后容易下雨，建议把行程安排在上午。无论什么时候去，带一瓶水——山顶没有小卖部，教堂门口的纪念品摊位不一定每天开。

It's a nice place, especially if you know the story behind it, but in itself the place doesn't have that much to offer except some stunning views of the city of Acapulco! So definitely a good picture-taking place!
Nice view. I visited on an NCL shore excursion. Large buses cannot navigate the roads to the top so we switched to small vans that were at the entrance. There's a $1 fee to use the bathroom. Donations are solicited at the exit.
La Capilla de la Paz is truly one of Acapulco’s hidden gems. Perched high on the hilltop of Las Brisas, the chapel offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of the bay and surrounding mountains. The moment you arrive, there’s a profound sense of calm. The architecture is striking — modern yet spiritual — with a massive white cross that stands over 40 meters tall, visible from much of the city. The bronze sculpture of praying hands near the entrance is powerful and symbolic. Inside, the open-air chapel is simple but deeply moving, filled with natural light and surrounded by beautiful landscaping. We were greeted by the serene sound of birds and the rustling of palm trees, and even though it was a warm afternoon, the cool mountain breeze made it perfect. It’s not just a religious site — it’s a peaceful place to reflect, take in the view, and feel connected to something bigger. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Acapulco, whether you’re spiritual or simply looking for tranquility and beauty.
What a cool, peaceful place in the mountain. The view of the sea and the bay are wonderful. Free to enter, but you can leave a donation. Note, this is in a secure, private neighborhood; so you need to go through security. Only open until 6pm. The parking area is on the street. You will need to walk up a steep hill about 80 meters in length to get to the chapel grounds.
This chapel is located on a peak of one the highest hills serounding Acapulco. This is a beautiful place with great views of Acapulco's bay. The atmosphere is very quiet and placid. I highly recomnend visiting this place. Be aware that the chapel and the vista points aren't wheelchair accessible.
