位于曼戈奇湖滨、巴基利·穆卢齐桥（Bakili Muluzi Bridge）附近的钟楼，是一座建于1901年的砖结构建筑，最初为纪念维多利亚女王而设立。如今钟面已轻微风化，安静地映衬着一段殖民时期的往事。
钟楼周围安放了两件具有真实历史痕迹的纪念物：一件是曾装备于英国炮艇“格温多林号（Gwendolen）”上的霍奇基斯舰炮（Hotchkiss gun），它曾参与第一次世界大战中非洲首次水上交战；另一座简洁的石碑，则为纪念1946年沉没的“维皮亚号（MV Vipya）”船只事件中的145名遇难乘客和船员。

Interesting. Very small, not worth a detour but if youre in Mangochi, it is nice history.

A tower erected in 1901 to honor Queen Victoria during colonial days. It also pays respect to the 145 passengers and crew of the MV Vipya who lost their lives when the ship sank in 1946. It has a cannon standing to symbolize memorial of second world war.
