Great conservation center, Elephants are not doing tricks or being ridden on, pure and simple they are raised here in order to rehabilitate and return to the wild. The guides are amazing, shout out to Aubrey he was brilliant!

I recently visited Knysna Elephant Park, and it was an amazing experience. Getting so close to the elephants was truly awe-inspiring. My elephant, Kisha, was absolutely wonderful. I was amazed by her gentle nature and fascinated to learn about her journey and what she went through when she was small. The breakfast we had was lovely, and it was great to hear more about the elephants and their stories. The entire experience was unforgettable, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Knysna!

Amazing Experience at Knysna Elephant Park I recently had the pleasure of visiting Knysna Elephant Park, and it was an unforgettable experience. The rich history of the park is fascinating, and the opportunity to get up close and personal with the elephants was truly remarkable. Feeding these gentle giants and capturing countless photos made it an exceptional visit. Our guide was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience with interesting insights and facts. Before the tour, I enjoyed a delightful meal at the nearby restaurant and found the convenience store well-stocked with essentials. Additionally, the free parking made the visit even more convenient. I highly recommend Knysna Elephant Park to anyone looking for an enriching and memorable adventure with these magnificent creatures.

Great experience overall. We had an elephant encounter (meet the herd) the day we checked in which was a bit of a let down initially, as our guide wasn't very knowledgeable and seemed a bit bored with the whole experience. We then stayed a night doing the sleep with the elephants experience which was wonderful, amazing to see and hear the elephants slowly rumbling themselves to sleep. You get as many "meet the herd" encounters as you want when you sleep with the elephants, so we decided to go again in the morning to hopefully have a better experience. This time our guide Mac lead us to the elephants and was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He answered all our questions and more, we were so lucky to hear about some of his experiences with the elephants. Our conversation with him showed how much love he has for elephants, and the deep bond he has with the herd at Knysna. It was the highlight of our trip to the elephant park and may well be the highlight of our visit to South Africa. Overall, the park is lovely and well kept. Elephant encounters are a once in a lifetime experience, but your satisfaction with the trip may depend heavily on the guide who takes you along. We cannot recommend Mac and his 25+ years of experience enough!

Hands down the most fantastic experience. Beautiful setting, wonderful people, attentive customer service and, of course, the most stunning and well-cared for elephants. Can’t recommend highly enough. The lodge was a fabulous addition - observing the elephants overnight from the communal lounge was something I’ll never forget! Don’t miss out on this wonderful experience!
