An easy drive up the hill and within a few minutes you see giraffes, buck and zebras. Beautiful views from the top of Bloem. Big Nelson Mandela statue as well. It was worth going there.

Naval Hill is a lovely small nature reserve in centre of Bloemfontein. throughout the year it is a amazing place to relax and enjoy a beautiful (small) game drive. One could also hike, run, or bike around on top of the mesa as the round route is just 5km. Moreover it is important to mention that while doing this one should respects the personal space of the larger game such as giraffes, wilder beasts, ostrich, and zebra's.

Always enjoy coming here for a sunset drive. The reserve was previously very well maintained but recently it has been looking like it needs some cleaning up. Overall, it’s a great place to come and observe animals (zebras, giraffes and wildebeest). It’s also very popular with runners!
