达喀尔大清真寺位于法勒大街（Allée Pape Gueye Fall），是塞内加尔首都主要的宗教建筑。该寺由摩洛哥和法国建筑师共同设计，1964年由摩洛哥国王哈桑二世与塞内加尔总统桑戈尔主持落成。建筑内外装饰精美，67米高的宣礼塔借鉴了拉巴特穆罕默德五世陵墓的风格。清真寺旁设有达喀尔伊斯兰学院，创立于同年，其附属的纳伊夫·本·阿卜杜勒阿齐兹亲王图书馆于2004年开放。这座清真寺至今仍是当地伊斯兰礼拜与学术研究的核心场所。

The Grand Mosque of Dakar seemed to be closed when I was there, so I didn't get the chance to go inside. It was quite lively, but outside, there were dozens of beggars and homeless people.

A big mosque, with a North african style in Dakar, for me it has a lot of Moroccan architectural aspects. Like all mosques you can't enter if you are not a Muslim, but still merits a visit
