Tchalim B. s. tassi Abdallah My visit to this place was cool! Even though around the place is full of cars Aunt motorbikes they all move simultaneously.
Pierre Pascal DIENE The Tour of Africa made my day. It was the last edifice I visited that day but I do love it. The view is spectacular specially during the sunset. The guide was very professional. I take my time to get inside the Tour. I was able to appreciate history of African Union and Panafricanism, pictures of leaders and founders of the AU, presentation of African countries with their flag, arts. From the tour you will be able to appreciate a part of Bamako city. You can see the International Modibo Keita Senou airport, the second bridge, etc. There are many places you could visit when you are in Mali particularly in Bamako but I suggest you to visit the Tour of Africa once you have the chance. You will not regret it, don't miss it if you are interested about post-independance of African countries and the history of Africa Union.
C Ellis Very nice place! We walked there one evening. They were able to get the key to open it for us. Nice paintings representing Mali inside and a nice view from the top.
Rizwan Rafi One of the ancient towers of Bamako named La tour d'Afrique (The Africa's tower). it is a beautiful tower to look around at the middle of the round about but too busy in the evening time because of the traffic and local people selling different items along the road side. You need a ticket to enter the monument and it’s worth visiting while your trip to Bamako.
Mpub. Ta This is the most ancient tower of bamako named La tour d'Afrique (The Africa's tower). It is a blend of African-type elements in general and Malian in particular. This compilation is made by: - a baobab - a reservoir covered with ideograms (emblematic palaver tree under which the major decisions and resolutions of the city were taken) - two necklaces (to signify the party) - joined arms (for the uniqueness of the objective) - a pierced jar (that of King Guezo of Benin) - a sign bearing the image of Africa. (to signify the emergence of a strong and united Africa) The interior spaces of the Tower are accessible by an elevator and an emergency staircase. It is the most busiest tower full of traffic in Evening time when people leave their work for home.
