Beautiful waterfall but the walk to get there is a bit treacherous. Extremely steep downgrade to navigate down the first level from parking area. It is paved with slate and stone which becomes slippery when wet. Getting to the waterfall is not for the faint of heart or anyone with severe mobility challenges. I enjoyed the experience seeing the waterfall but would only recommend for those who are in good shape.

Amazing waterfall. The lower water hike is more of a walk along a nice path that doesn't present any difficulties. It took us about 30 minutes to get to the water fall and another 30 minutes to go back. Because the walk is fairly easy you can actually take the time to look at the forest while walking and will see a lot of insects and bird. Site at the waterfall is very nice to spend some time and the falls are truly impressive. Youll need to pay a small fee to enter. Only downside is the littering... there is also the possibility to do the higher waterfall hike which takes about 5 or 6 hours. We didn't do it which allowed us to combine the lower waterfall hike and the Afadjato hike on the same day. If you don't have that much time in the area I would recommend doing that so that you can see a bit more of the region

Thee uncut GEM of Ghana! Our guide, James, took us to the upper and lower falls via the Togo loop. We would advise anyone going to ask for James. The views are surreal and the hike is difficult, but totally worth it. On the way up to the ridge, the path is well maintained and is quite steep. The ridge walk is good, but in a lot of places you’ll end up going through thick forest. The way down on the Togo path to upper falls, and the Ghana path to lower falls is really steep and narrow. Be prepared mentally and physically as it is very taxing. We are moderately good hikers. with stops at the falls, and lookout points it took us 7 hours. So my suggestion would be to start in the morning and go on a weekday - avoid weekends. Don’t rely on the estimates from the tourist office. Most of all enjoy the hike, but know that it’s not easy. Along the way you’ll get to taste some wild fruits, definitely ask your guide about them. Our recommendation is Wax Apple!
