Our group appreciated this tallest structure in The Gambia. This celebrates the 1994 military coup with a tasteful ever-present monument in the midst of the busy city and opportunity to walk up. At the top, enjoy a great view of the city. Worth the walk.

This is at the entrance of Banjul. There’s nothing to write home about. Never mind that there’s no nearby parking. Since there’s not much to see in Banjul, do what I did. Have a quick stop to take a picture and continue your journey.

With 100D, you can go inside the monument where historical artifacts and records are exhibited. It’s cool to look down the entire Banjul city from the top

My husband is from Brikama The Gambia, on my visit he made sure that I came bc he stated how can you come to The Gambia without coming to Banjul? We came on a Tuesday which was hot and sunny, overall I enjoyed my trip to Banjul. Not sure why it says anything about was tickets purchased bc we didn’t have to buy any! Walked around and seen the inside of Banjul and definitely WORTH taking a trip when you’re nearby.
