  An obvious relic from German times. Gravesite of the African explorer Gustav Nachtigal. Cameroon was a German colony from 1884 to 1919. The monument stands in the small park at the intersection of Rue Lugard and Rue French. Many remaining buildings from the German colonial period are nearby.
